NOCO Crew Leader Training

NOCO Crew Leader Training

Every year, the Northern Colorado Trailbuilders Coalition (coaliation between Colorado Addicted Trailbuilders Society, Wildland Restoration Volunteers and Overland Mountain Bike Association) hosts a crew leader training for trails for those that are interested in becoming crew leaders in the Northern Colorado Area. The training is open to anyone with previous trailbuilding experience (you do not have to be a member of any of the 3 organizations to attend) and is developed to equip experienced trail workers with the volunteer management skills to assist public land agencies and other trail organizations in leading critical trail improvement projects.

The program begins with an intensive weekend-long course where participants will practice how to lead safe, successful trail projects, motivate crews, and develop efficient basic trail construction skills. After the training weekend, participants will be encouraged to sign up to co-lead 2 volunteer workdays under the supervision of experienced Crew Leaders from CATS, WRV, and OMBA, or their home organizations.

In 2019 the training is set for April 6-7, 2019 and will be hosted at Loveland’s Chilson Center. This training is free however we incourage a donation of $10-$20 to assist with covering some of the expenses on material and handouts that you will receive during the training. If you are interested in attending then please register using the link below.

*NOTE: This training is not on how to build trail, it is focused on how to lead trailbuilding crews.
